Paste a full YouTube video URL or short link (youtu.be)
A YouTube backlink generator takes one video URL and sends it to a list of websites, so each page that accepts it can point back to your video. This free tool is for creators and marketers who want a quick batch of link submissions, with a live Submitted and Failed report you can filter and export.
A YouTube backlink is a link on another web page that points to your video's URL. Search engines treat links from other sites as signals that a page is worth finding, and the same idea applies to video pages.
A video backlink can take several forms: a plain URL in a blog post, an embedded player, a link in a forum thread, or an entry on a directory-style page. Each one sends a crawler, and sometimes a human visitor, to your video. Two things decide how much a link is worth: the quality of the page it sits on and whether it is a normal link or a nofollow link, which tells search engines not to pass credit.
Every YouTube video has an 11-character ID, such as the string after v= in a watch URL or after the slash in a youtu.be short link. The tool pulls that ID out of the address you paste and uses it to build each submission link, so the same video always produces the same set of targets.
You need only one video URL and a few minutes. Follow these steps:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= or a short youtu.be link.Suppose you paste https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ. The Video ID badge shows dQw4w9WgXcQ, which confirms the short link was read correctly.
Say the run ends with Total 40, Submitted 31 and Failed 9 (an illustration, since the list size can change). That is 31 of 40, or 77.5 percent, of targets accepting the request. Click Failed to see the 9 domains that did not respond, then export the CSV so you have a record of what was sent and where.
What this tells you: 31 submissions went through. It does not tell you that 31 links are live, indexed or passing value. To find out which ones stuck, open a few Submitted domains and look for your video link, then check the domain with a backlink checker later.
The results panel gives you three numbers and a per-target table. Each row shows its number, the domain and a status.
| Result | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Submitted | The request to that site went through | Open the domain and confirm your link appears |
| Failed | The site did not accept or answer the request | Run again later, or skip that domain |
| Pending | That target has not been processed yet | Wait for the progress bar to finish |
A good run finishes with most rows marked Submitted and a Failed list you can explain, such as sites that were down. A high Failed share usually points to a temporary problem on those sites rather than a problem with your video.
If the Total count is very low, or an error appears right after you start, the target list could not be loaded. Reload the page and try again. If every row fails, check that the video is public or unlisted and that the URL you pasted opens in a browser.
They can help discovery, but a batch of submissions is not a ranking shortcut. Google's Search Central documentation says links created mainly to manipulate rankings can fall under its link spam policies, and it advises earning links through useful content.
Treat bulk submissions as a light, supporting step. They can give crawlers extra paths to your video page, and some listings may send a few visitors. The stronger signals still come from the video itself: a clear title, a useful description, good watch time and links from pages people actually read.
The tool suits anyone who wants a fast, documented set of link submissions for a single video. These are the situations where it fits best:
Small habits make each run more useful. Use these checks before and after you start.
Paste a single video link, not a channel page, playlist or search results page. A URL like youtube.com/@yourchannel has no video ID, so there is nothing to submit. If the Video ID badge looks wrong, copy the link again from the video page.
Running the same video again and again adds no value and floods the same sites with duplicate requests. Run it once, review the Failed list, and retry later only if many targets failed.
The results are shown on the page for that session. Click Export CSV before you close the tab so you keep the domain list and statuses.
For a wider plan, use the Backlink Builder for your website and browse the Backlink Tools hub for audit and research options.
This tool submits your video link to a list of sites and reports whether each request went through. It does not check whether those pages are indexed, whether the link is followed, or whether your video moved up in search. It also does not list backlinks that already exist for your video, so it works as a generator, not a checker or validator.
Results depend on the third-party sites, which can change or go offline at any time. Expect some Failed rows on any run, and judge success by the links you can actually find afterward.
Paste your video URL into the tool above, run the batch, then filter the Submitted and Failed rows and export your list. You will get a clear record of where your video was sent and a short list of links worth checking next.
